A Word from Laibuta
A shift from the conventional judicial processes for determination of commercial disputes has never been easy, but change we must. This newsletter marks my “bold move” to do what I have a passion for, helping entrepreneurs discover efficient and cost-effective means of managing conflicts and resolving commercial disputes and, as a result, transform their business relations and exponentially grow their business and income.
To appreciate the value of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) strategies, and to successfully inculcate ADR in the mind of our legal counsel, one must internalize and subscribe to the words of Chief Justice Warren E. Burger of the US Supreme Court, who had this to say:
“The obligation of the legal profession is…to serve as healers of human conflicts…. We should provide mechanisms that can produce an acceptable result in the shortest possible time, with the least possible expense, with the minimum stress on the participants. That is what justice is all about.”
There are five common mistakes many entrepreneurs make that serve to destroy their businesses: failing to adapt to effective conflict management and dispute resolution strategies; clinging to the age-old methods of claim adjudication through court litigation; taking their business relationships for granted; failing to strike a healthy balance between bare legal rights and invaluable business interests; and destroying their goodwill and business relationships through needless law suits. Might you be counted among them? Do not despair.
Premier ADR Consultants will tell you how to avoid them.
How to Transform Your Business Relationships in the Face of Conflict:
Time has come for you to come to terms with the reality that: court litigation only works to sup your capital and destroy your invaluable goodwill and business relations; proven alternatives to litigation work for prudent entrepreneurs willing to discover transformative ways in which you can restore, maintain and strengthen your business relations in the face of conflict.
“The quality of our lives depends not on whether or not we have conflicts, but on how we respond to them.” Tom Crum (an author and presenter in the fields of conflict resolution, Peak Performance and Stress Management)
Knowing how to run a successful business and how to restore healthy business relationships in the face of conflict are two sides of a golden coin. Knowing where to go for expeditious and cost-effective conflict management and commercial dispute resolution services requires knowledge of those who have taken bold step towards new and progressive ways of thinking and doing things. The paradigm shift towards alternatives to litigation can be challenging, especially to those who find false comfort in doing what they have always done – sue, sue, and be sued – as your legal counsel cheers on in the face of adversity and escalated costs, often to their delight. That is why you require a skilled conflict manager and dispute resolver to guide you in your journey to healthy business relations.
Healthy business relations build goodwill and elevates your business to new heights.
Did you know?
A paradigm shift to alternative dispute resolution strategies is the key to improved business relations as you scale the heights of success in turbulent times.
In order to survive in a tough economy in the 21st century, one is required to acquire an entrepreneurial mindset that elevates efficiency and proportionality of costs above the outdated traditions of adversarial justice systems. Being open-minded and receptive of alternative strategies helps you minimize waste in time and money; saves your enterprise colossal sums of money in legal fees; saves you time and emotional distress; and helps you build lasting business relations that translate to well-founded goodwill and income growth. Your attitude counts.
“Whenever you are in conflict with someone, there is one factor that can make the difference between damaging your relationship and deepening it. That factor is attitude.”
William James (American philosopher)
